The address is part of the experience. Pentridge Village occupies the site of the former HM Prison Pentridge — one of Victoria's most significant heritage landmarks, known as the "Bluestone College". Established in 1851 and closed in May 1997, the prison's bluestone walls and towers are protected under the Victorian Heritage Register.

Since 2013 the Shayher Group has redeveloped the northern precinct into Pentridge Village: a heritage-sensitive mix of housing, retail and open piazza set within the original bluestone perimeter. Natural Nails & Beauty opened here in 2024 — a boutique nail-art studio with a Champ Street address no competing salon can claim.
